Temple City High School (also known as TCHS) is a four-year-old public high school in Temple City, California, in the western San Gabriel Valley. Temple City High performance and visual arts are composed of art, tools, group, dance, choir, orchestra and theatre. Dragonflicks, part of the school`s art and film department, organizes an annual film festival in May and/or June, with the support of the school. Their nationally recognized co-ed team is called Brighter Side Singers and they perform at Disney`s California Adventures for Christmas. The Brighter Side Singers also travel every year. Auxiliary, cheers, pep-flags, songs, choreography and fusion participated in various competitions such as United Spirit Association and Sharp International. At Sharp International Regionals, they took the top three spots, as well as first place and competition in the categories jubilation, flags, vocals, lyric, jazz, hip hop and senior dance. In 2011 and 2012, Choreo and Fusion again won senior national dance titles.   In 2013, Choréo and Fusion won the national champions of lyric dance and the song won national champions in Pom. Temple City High School has received several awards for its academic programs. Rampage, the school newspaper, was awarded by the Los Angeles Times at the May 26, 2005 Student Journalism Awards for second place for High School Newspaper Excellence in Division A.
 The school received the California Distinguished School Award in 1996 and 2019 and the California Gold Ribbon School Award in 2017.  In 2011, Temple City High School was #209 in the prestigious newsweek list of the best high schools in America. In 1973, with 46 victories, the football team set the record of the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Southern Section. He also set the California State football record.  The Temple City Unified School District was founded on July 1, 1954 and included Oak Avenue Intermediate School, a high school that was once part of the Pasadena Unified School District. Before 1956, students from Temple City Public School attended Pasadena High School after Oak Avenue, but in 1956, the first grade 12 class graduated from the Oak Avenue neighborhood. Temple City High`s first degree was a year later, when the Associated Student Body established the school`s green and gold colors and the Ram as a school mascot. Temple City High School holds its annual end-of-year ceremonies at the school`s Hitchcock-North Stadium in the evening and the graduation ceremony takes place on campus after the festivities, instead of being held at an amusement park in Southern California.
 In 2013, The Pride of Temple City Marching Band and The Pageantry Corps were again selected for the 2015 Parade of Roses march. The women`s volleyball champion won the CIF Section South championship in 2002 and the CIF Section III championship in 2003 and 2004. In 2005, the Temple City High School Symphony Orchestra was invited to New York to participate in the Youth Symphony Orchestra competition at Carnegie Hall. For their performance, they received the Gold Plaque Award.
